Collins are delighted to have commenced work on this exceptional conversion of a historic manor house, set within beautifully maintained grounds on the edge of Codicote.
Originally built around 1815 as a private country residence, the house remained in private ownership until 1947. Today, this remarkable 200-year-old property comprises 10 luxury apartments within a private park, where residents enjoy exclusive access to a tennis court, expansive open fields, formal Italianate gardens featuring original fountains and statues, and tranquil woodland walks.
Over the years, the manor house has been owned by several distinguished figures, including William Reid (1849–1867), a partner in the brewing firm Watney, Combe & Reid, and Charles Alexander Nall-Cain (1905–1926), the First Lord Brocket.
Our works will comprise a comprehensive programme of external refurbishment and upgrades, including the erection of full-access scaffolding, extensive roof repairs and overhauls, masonry repairs, and complete external redecoration. These works will help preserve the character and integrity of this historic building while ensuring its continued enjoyment for future generations.
We look forward to sharing updates on this beautiful building as the project progresses.
