Works are progressing well at The Node, with the project continuing to move forward in line with the planned programme.
The scaffold has now been fully erected, providing safe access to the areas requiring attention, and masonry repair works are currently underway. These works form an important part of the restoration process, ensuring the building fabric is carefully repaired and prepared for the next stages of the project.
A joint inspection has been undertaken with the Contract Administrator to review the condition of the existing areas, confirm the extent of the required repairs, and compare these against the provisional allowances included within the original scope of works. Following this review, the necessary repair requirements have been identified, and an agreed approach has been established to allow the works to progress efficiently.
Over the coming weeks, the project will move into the next key phase, with extensive roof works commencing, including the installation of new leadwork. These works will play a crucial role in improving the long-term performance and protection of the building, alongside the planned decoration works which will enhance the overall appearance and finish.
The team continues to work collaboratively to deliver a high-quality standard of workmanship, with careful attention being given to maintaining the character and integrity of the building throughout the process.
