Collins have completed the remedial internal works at this unit within Medway Valley Park.
Working within a busy, fully operational warehouse presented additional logistical and safety considerations. To minimise disruption and reduce interaction between our team, warehouse operations and site traffic, the works were scheduled to take place outside the warehouse’s busiest periods, when vehicle and pedestrian movements were significantly reduced.
The works primarily involved:
- Cutting out sections of the existing concrete floor to allow for further investigation.
- Inspecting and safely infilling an existing void in accordance with the structural engineer’s recommendations.
- Reinstating the concrete floor slab to match the existing finish.
All works have now been completed, and the engineer has inspected and signed off the completed works.
The unit is now ready to return to normal trading operations.
