Working alongside the project team and client appointed architects, we have proudly completed the conversion of two semi-detached bungalows into a community centre, that will provide the retired residents with a modern and dynamic communal space for social events and alike.
The Dyers Almshouses consist of 28 terraced bungalows which are located in a 2½ acre conservation area in the centre of Crawley, West Sussex.
The Almshouses are run by a registered charity, and residents must be retired persons of limited financial means. The Dyers Company are a 550 year old City of London Livery Company, united in fellowship and friendship among members and across the wider Livery movement and the City of London, engaged in promoting the dyeing industry and craft (by funding research grants, bursaries and seed capital projects) and committed to providing opportunities for others (by supporting charities, schools and our Almshouses). For more information on the fantastic work they do, please see https://www.dyerscompany.co.uk/
We are delighted to worked along this charity and transform this area into a useable space.
