Works are nearing completion undertaking the internal fire improvement works to 108 Flat entrance doors & communal doors of this Grade II listed building.
We worked closely with the contract administrator & the clients appointed fire engineers to maintain the appearance of the doors in accordance with the listing, whilst improving the fire credentials of the doors throughout to achieve a ‘notional’ status.
The works to this historic 1880’s property comprised of the following upgrade works;
- Clear intumescent coating to all doors
- Intumescent strips introduced to all door edges
- New fire rated hinges to each door
- Fire rated door closers
- Glazing above and within doors overlaid with Pyro glass
- Doors adjusted to required gaps throughout
- Introduction of intumescent letter plates
- French Polish all doors
- Replacement fire rated FD30s doors (where upgrades not possible)
